The first event of Noisy Exchange is behind us.
It was an exciting time during which we learnt a lot about acoustic measurement methods and their applications in measurements of environmental noise.
On Thursday evening we met for the first time. Pizza party and having fun in the pub were good opportunities to get to know each other.
The next day we had lectures given by Prof. Andrzej Dobrucki, Magdalena Piotrowska, Bartosz Chmielewski, Tomasz Malec and Jarosław Kowalczyk. We learned how sound can be described by numbers, how acoustic measurements are made, what is environmental acoustics and how to control it and what is infrasound noise. It was great backround to Saturday, which was a workshop day. During the breaks we took a group photo, played an integration game and talked over coffee.
Saturday was very intense day during which we used the knowledge gained on Friday in practice. On the workshops run by experts from KFB Acoustics we measured background noise, determined noise power level of a device and recorded a movie using acoustic camera.
On the last day we discussed workshop results. Then we said our goodbyes. Now we miss each other but…
…next year we will meet at the events in Bratislava and Prague!
